Ben Mitchelson joined Auto Claims Assist in 2023.
He brings claims-handling experience from his time at esure, where he supported both new and existing claims. His role involved making initial liability decisions, instructing repairs and hire, handling complaints, and supporting colleagues through training and day-to-day guidance. This gave Ben a strong understanding of how claims are assessed and progressed from the insurer’s perspective.
At Auto Claims Assist, Ben focuses primarily on recoveries, working to recover hire charges from third-party insurers and handling ongoing liability disputes.
His role often involves working closely with clients to gather supporting information and strengthen their claim. He also supports new claims on weekends, helping clients return to their pre-accident position as quickly as possible by arranging repairs or replacement vehicles.

Ben previously managed the entire New Claims department at Auto Claims Assist, where he was the lead decision-maker on vehicle roadworthiness and commercial liability.
